Chris Eaton is the author of two novels: The Inactivist (2003) and The Grammar Architect (2005), the first about an advertising copywriter who falls in love with an activist, and the second is a love story about love stories, and also a cover of a Thomas Hardy novel. Both are available in any bookstore you choose to frequent. The Inactivist has been required reading on two courses at McGill University. Hurray, McGill! Here's what some people had to say about The Grammar Architect“May well be the best Canadian novel of the year†– Alex Good, Kitchener-Waterloo Record"The Grammar Architect is a book you could easily read twenty times and still find new things to love about it. Eaton has written one of the most original, funny, beautifully written, and thoroughly complex novels of our young century." - Mark Horan, Ghettoblaster Magazine, NYC“Evidence of Eaton's status as one of Canada's most assured new writers†– Brian Joseph Davis, Eye Magazine, Toronto“Rich, confusing and beautifully written in every line†– Jonathan Lethem, author of The Fortress of Solitude and Motherless Brooklyn
