The Right Thing is a five piece band originally from the outskirts of Detroit, Michigan. RJ Little (Guitar), Joel Parkilla (Lead Vocals), and Gilbert "G-Ro" Tack (Bass) were members of The Panoptics before they broke up and reformed as The Right Thing. Colin Moorhouse (Guitar) began rehearsing with the band in early January of 2008. Nathan Shepherd (Drums) joined the band in May of 2008. The band was moved to Tucson, Arizona by Glen Tackett . He is the owner of the Enchanted Dragon tatoo parlour and other various businesses. Glen Tackett soon became manager/agent of the Right Thing and signed them to a contract. Their 10 song demo was recorded at Luna studios in Tucson, AZ under producer George Nardo (Heavy Metal Kids, The Tim Bogert Band). Shortly after finishing the demo the band brought in drummer Nathan Shepherd. The band is preparing to produce music which will be used for upcoming movies "The 13th Hour" and "Tucson on Ice". The Right Thing is planning on going to Los Angelas to record their first album sometime this summer, and also will begin a west coast tour in the Fall of 2008.
