The Voices

The Voices are a rock n roll band from the Midlands. They write all sorts of tunes, from in-your-face ‘pop gems’ to ‘haunting’ slow movers. Dan, Mat and Luke went to the same school and met drummer Tom and bassist Lee at Aberystwyth. Luckily they were from the Midlands too, though Tom has to drive further. He’s normally only very late though. But not as late as Lee. So it was all sorted. Two years ago they self-produced the ‘Blue Light’ ep, a collection of their early tunes. Last year they played the summer in Brum, from the Sunflower lounge to the Barfly. They were there from the beginning of Mob Monday at the Roadhouse and received electric shocks for their troubles. In October they recorded the ‘golden gate’ demo at Magic Garden Studios, with ‘Twang’ producer Gavin Monaghan, and almost got hit by a lorry.
This year it’s kicking off. There’s tunes and gigs aplenty to come. The band are waiting patiently for the day when rehearsing, writing and playing take over their lives and they get this show on the road.
Now it’s the Midlands, the nation, the world and the music that matters. Give your heart and soul to The Voices. They’re gonna make some noise.
