Chris - Lost in Vegas

Chris of LIV and the sound desk

About Me

I play guitar and sing in rock band Lost in Vegas (www.myspace.com/lostinvegasuk).
This is us playing headling our first sold out show (300 people). not bad for an unsigned band eh!!
This is a pic of a sold out crowd at The Palace Tamworth
I am a sound engineer, or Audio engineer if you want to be posh. I love digital desks and digital equipment. I am an easy going guy and don't talk technical very often although I can bore people to death very easily if you get me started on technical talk.
I was one of the main people involved with designing a building The Palace Venue in Tamworth. The Palace was a great venue probably the best <500 cap venue in the UK. I worked really hard there and it has benefited my career greatly. I moved on from The Palace in Spring 2008 to work at a bigger venue The Assembly in Leamington Spa. www.leamingtonassembly.com. The Assembly is an amazing place, I had a hand in setting up the PA system and audio. There is a great team in place at The Assembly and I think it will become one of the top venues on the UK circuit in the next couple of years.
I also work for Tamorth Borough Council on the technical side of outdoor events.
I also go out on the road occasionally with Waking Up The Neighbours who are the uks no.1 Bryan Adams tribute act and a great bunch of guys you can check them out: www.myspace.com/wakinguptheneighbours
I also regularly do FOH for After Hours a young band from Tamworth who are going places. They are my favourite band to engineer because they are great people with a great attitude. They produce a fantastic sound out of the box which makes my job easy.
I have promoted and worked on productions with:
The Subways
The Automatic
Young Knives
Reel Big Fish
The Holloways
Good Shoes
INME
The Specials
Hadouken
The Levellers
Bay City Rollers
Michael Schenker and Friends
Good Shoes
Les Mckeowns Bay City Rollers
N-Dubz
Saving Aimee
Viva Machine
And Loads and Loads of others
AKALA
Magnum
Wheatus
Army of Freshmen
Sikth
Bring me The Horizon
Roy Wood
Panic Cell
The Answer
The Black Velvets
The YoYo's
and many more I cannot remember....
I love music and talking to other people who are passionate about music. I have achived a lot of things I am proud of in the last year. When other people canot be arsed or think something is too hard to achive I get on with it and make it happen. I have built a would class msuci venue, help make Tamworth a nationally recognised music town and taken Lost In Vegas about as far as an unsigned band can get. I have sold over 1000 EP's and worked with some of the top profesionals in the UK music industry.
I have also worked with some great young bands, After Hours, Falling Faster, All Heads Down, Reprobate and Risen Fear are just a few. Its been a pleasure to watch this guys develop as both song writers and performers.
I have a fantastic GF in Anna who has supported me throughout my interesting career and has supported me in everything I have wanted to do.
