The Grayscale story begins with Douglas Dunbar finding William Weaver through the murky soup of the Internet, and discovering that both the songwriting musicians shared not only the same geography of Cleveland, Ohio, but a passion for alternative pop as well. They also found that they shared influences ranging from Coldplay, to Snow Patrol, to The Cure. They began collaborating and formed Grayscale in early 2005. They rapidly assembled a catalog of alternapop gems that would become their debut album, "That Flawless Flashing Day."Effortlessly fusing American folk with Britpop, their combined talents generate music that impressionistically explores the lush and beautiful landscape of human emotions."That Flawless Flashing Day" was released by Sunset Records in Summer 2007 (www.sunsetholding.com), and has been aggressively promoted by the label. The tracks "Any Girl Would Do" and "Deep White" are currently enjoying FM rotation on the US West Coast, as well as entering rotation in ten other countries, and the track "I'm Stuck with Me" has been licensed for a forthcoming television project. TFFD is available in physical and digital format from all major online retailers.Welcome to Grayscale!

What They Say:
"Avoiding the trap of overblown arrangements requires a great deal of restraint in these days when the modern recordist carts about complete symphony orchestras to the coffee shop in his laptop. With lush, layered arrangements that still play to the ear as clean and simple, Grayscale dances past that trap with That Flawless Flashing Day, their self-produced frosh outing. With all the requisite hooks and beats in all the right places, the 13 cuts of pop-goodness that this studio sense is applied to come across with a Brit-pop sweetness tempered by an occasional dollop of darkness. Durn good alternapop from this Cleveland duo!"Welcome to Grayscale!
