TRIBUTE TO SHOOT YOUR IDOLS' MUSIC **:
Faites grimper sa cote
2005 :
LEX RIDERS & THE MACHINE GUN (5 members), renamed
SHOOT YOUR IDOLS in 2007 (3 members left).
2005-2007 :
SHOOT YOUR IDOLS performed in a bunch of French clubs such as Gibus, Batofar, New Morning, Bus Palladium, Glaz'Art, Les Passagers Du Zinc, or OPA Bastille, to name a few, and recorded studio material (pics, bio, mp3 and videos on this page).
January 2008 : The drummer and the bass player decided to quit
SHOOT YOUR IDOLS in early 2008 to pursue their own career. Since then,
LEX RIDERS , creator and frontman of
SHOOT YOUR IDOLS, no longer has technical access to SHOOT's original MySpace site, http://www.myspace.com/shootyouridolsmusic (created by him in March 7th, 2007 in order to manage the band).
LEX RIDERS has always sincerely and truly believed in his band
SHOOT YOUR IDOLS and in its potential (gigs in France & foreign countries, album recording...).
It's not the first time in rock history that a band has split up... But
SHOOT YOUR IDOLS' music has something special that leads us to believe there's a lot of us who will miss the band, and who will definitely keep humming the songs with joy and... regrets...
http://www.myspace.com/shootyouridolsalive
was created in honor of SHOOT YOUR IDOLS' music as well as the frontman of the band,
LEX RIDERS, who dedicated 3 years of his life to it.
LEX RIDERS pursues his career as enthusiastically as ever.
He's on a new project.

BUBBLEGUM SLUT ZINE 28 (UK) - Septembre 2007
" A sultry 70's rock affair !
Stones-y 'Catfight' is certainly a pleasant one, and the 5 minutes epic 'Baby Sharks' is a highlight! "
http://www.myspace.com/bubblegumslutzine
They played cock rock, not mock rock...heavy and groovy...the real thing...fueled with danger, mojo, sex, passion and speed...
They played it straight and hard, as in the early 70's.
Not because they were retro. They weren't retro.
It was just that the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, the Who & Led Zeppelin sounded like the best ever.
And they wanted to sound this way.
They weren't the bloody past, they were the fucking future.
