The dog gets all the the leftovers in my house

About Me

Hi, Welcome to my musings. The focal point will be, current activities, which will vary with seasons and whims. The majority of the activities will be outdoors, so if you don't mind a few bugs, physical exertion, and an occassionally rainy camp with some icky mud, join me for some homemade adventure.

My Interests

Music, photography (digital lately), camping, hiking, paddling, fishing, working, eating, sleeping, my dog and lots of other stuff I won't bore you with for now. But since you asked: Shooting (archery ,and firearms), turkey hunting, deer hunting, working with my hands (there are so many useful applications), learning new guitar chords, playing guitar badly, making BBQ, learning new words, and epiclimactical slumber.

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people with substance, a sense of humor, plus an affinity for dogs, other fallible humans, and the outdoors. Sorry, folks! The spot for the talking bird has been filled, but the opening for a dancing aardvark is still available.

Music:

Does anyone recall the song about the dog that sang along with Clyde's electric bass?

Movies:

The Caine Mutiny, Heaven Knows Mr. Allison, Deliverance, A Clockwork Orange, Percy, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, High Plains Drifter, Bladerunner, Outland, The Deer Hunter, Two Hundred Motels, The Groove Tube, Fritz The Cat, Clan Of The Cavebear, Four Rooms, Turner and Hooch.(You didn't think I'd leave out a dog movie, hmmmm?)

Television:

SUX, they cancelled "Lassie"

Books:

I enjoy books by Michner, Conroy, Dickey, Coyne, Auel, Crichton, Clarke, Tolkien, Asimov, Heinlein, Doyle, Poe, Shakespeare, Twain, and one particular novel by, Fred Gipson.

Heroes:

My son, my dog, and the UPS delivery person.

Intelligence Modified

Well, my gal-friend got her own truck assigned to her this past Thursday. She was beside herself  with satisfaction, that she had done what so many nay-sayers had said she couldn't do. After all,...

The old broken thing is steerable again. Woo Hoo! The radiator baffle board had to be cut, from top to bottom, so I could move it back into its more natural position, and get to the idler arm mou...
