There are a lot of people I would like to meet between musicians, writers, actors, and all the important thinkers throughout history. This becomes even harder to figure out if we are talking alive or dead. Assuming that they have to be alive, and narrowing it down to a few....David Bowie, Maynard Keenan, Dan Millman....Now that I think about it, it is easier to pick dead people. Jesus, Kahlil Gibran, Jim Morrison, Hitler, Nietzsche, Anton Szander Lavey, and Johnny Cash are just a few of the people I wouldve liked to have met, but will never have the chance.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment | View All Comments
This is going to be a long list if I take the time to list half the bands that I love. I listen to everything from metal, to hardcore, to punk, to industrial, to goth, to country, to rap, to whatever. You name it and I can probably pick at least a handful of bands I like in the genre. My listening style is changing more and more each day. For now, Im not going to list all the thousands of bands and people that I enjoy. Instead, take a look through my friends list to get a good idea of the music I listen to.
Im a big horror fan. I love the slasher films, the psychological horror films, the comedy horror films, and the straight up over the top gore films. I also like any kind of film that can inspire you to think. The ability to ponder life seems to be fading quickly to the shallow self absorbed and easier route. Anything that can lead us back onto a more enlightened path is always welcomed.
House, My Name is Earl, The Office, Heroes, Family Guy, Futurama, Simpsons, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Dexters Laboratory, Chapelle Show, Da Ali G Show, and pretty much anthing that is Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, or Nick at Night....cartoons and comedy, entertainment for a simple mind that doesnt want to deal with all this so called "reality" tv. (I dont understand whats so damn "real "about it anyway. Do you know anybody ever put into a situation like half of what you see on "reality" programming?)
My favorite author is Douglas Clegg: www.douglasclegg.com
Ive thought about this one for a while now, and I still have no definative answers to it. I suppose its because society, in general, lacks any modern day heroes. There are plenty of people that I admire and would love to talk with and pick their brains. But as far as heroes?? I dont believe I have any.
