Change the DJ is an exchange project between Belgian and Ugandan DJ's organised by aid organisation Vredeseilanden / Veco (Ug) . Piece Islands wants to bridge both countries, connect the capital Kampala with the Ugandan countryside but especially they want to bring people together through music and parties.
One of the DJ's who makes the Ugandan capital Kampala rock, is Viscious. From Kampala to Mundindi, everywhere he makes people dance.
In January 2008 he was in Belgium to promote Change the DJ and to check his Belgian collegues breaking it down. A clip on JimTV encouraged young DJ's to participate and become the Belgian exchange DJ.
In the Change the DJ finals in Antwerp, DJ Tactile from Gent was chosen to throw parties in the capital Kampala and Eastern Uganda.
On the 17th of March he lands in Kampala and he will go to the East of Uganda, where Piece Islands is active.
Piece Islands wants to get the farmers not only on the dancefloor but also in the spotlight. In a refreshing way, they want to show how the Ugandan farmers live and work.
