About Me

visit my scrapbook, filled with assorted gimcrackery
Scholar of ill repute and cultural contrarian. I struggle for personalism and distributism, struggles I accept as endless, but worthy. An unwitting but willing artist and performer. A bad Catholic. Currently employed in television production (go figure) but I spent a year as a construction labourer (need anything done?).
I am in a band, The Cassettes .
Also see here: www.myspace.com/thecassettes
Not to mention We Own France and The Gooses and Velvety Wrongtime. I was also in a fantastic band called The Parlor Scouts for some time and, years ago, The Triple-X Stars and Muon Nutrino .
I helped make this for the 48-Hour Film Project and for which we won an award:
And this:
If you like these, see here .
For the Cassettes, I have made a few videos, as seen below:
This is my micro-sized record label, please be our friend:
I also belong to a mostly defunct sort of design collective thing called The Exray Factory. We have a blog: http://exrayfactory.blogspot.com/
This is my Amazon Wish List
My (very modest) Wikipedia presence:
Also, I am apparently officially emo-looking

"That state is a state of Slavery in which a man does what he likes to do in his spare time and in his working time that which is required of him. This state can only exist when what a man likes to do is to please himself.
"That state is a state of Freedom in which a man does what he likes to do in his working time and in his spare time that which is required of him. That state can only exist when what a man likes to do is to please God."

Music:

I grow weary of constantly editing these lists, as if I will someday arrive at the perfect combination of artists and be done with it. Just ask me or look at my groups and my friends list. That should give you some idea.

Television:

I only steal television, but I am open to suggestions.

Books:

Please, just ask. I love to talk about what I am reading. Perhaps one day I might try to maintain a list of books I am currently reading, or maybe just list every book I have read. Might be interesting....
