I've said it before but I'll say it again - music, movies, writing, reading, art, drinking, fighting, swearing, crappy sci-fi. I love parties and I hate people....... .If you've made it this far then you deserve something more than just this silly little blog profile. Check out (www.diatribemedia.com) for that. While you're at it, visit http://aaroncynic.blogspot.com. and http://www.fallofautumn.com It would help to explain alot if you really want to "know" me. After all, this is only the brief synopsis, as opposed to really getting inside my head like my own personal website does.
Who I'd like to meet is irrelevant. Who I will or might meet is more important. If you're reading this right now, then we've already met in one sense or another.Armchair philosophy can be fun.

There - you should be happy that you know now whether or not we can be myspacefriends.Mass marketing is really an amazing field. It is amazing how we define ourselves by the things we listen to, read, watch, and overall - consume. The lines of self-definition have become much like filling out a census form. Insert information into box A, B, and C. Now you're profiled. You know yourself and "they" know you. A win win situation? Social Commentary is a fun game
I once heard a band say "if we had all killed our tv's like all those 80's punk rockers suggested, the world might be a better place." I tend to agree with this. Still though, we all have our weaknesses. Mine lie in The Simpsons, The Family Guy, loads of crappy sci-fi like Stargate SG1 and almost anything created by Gene Roddenberry. I'm also a big fan of the cartoons I grew up with (and no, I don't appreciate them ironically...I never stopped watching GI-Joe and The Transformers, they just stopped making new episodes. Thank God for VCR's.). Channels like the history channel also tend to take up parts of my life I should spend on more valuable things.
Books by Chomsky, Zinn, Orwell, Vonnegut, and more. I read alot about politics and philosophy - and very little fiction. However I did read Umberto Echo's "Fuccoult's Pendulum" and was blown away. I'm also a big fan of almost everything Robert Anton Wilson does, and I'm growing to love Hunter S. Thompson and Kurt Vonnegut even more these days. I also spend alot of time reading things off of websites like zmag.org, indymedia.org, commondreams.org, counterpunch.org, and the like.
