Music, musicians ;-), going to concerts, baking, cooking dinner for my boys and Thanksgiving orphans, photography, Rainbow pizza, horseback riding, going to the beach, night time canyon drives with the stereo blaring...
I've pretty much met everyone I've ever wanted to meet, except for Bon Jovi (no laughing!!)!! Oh, you mean here? ;-) Not looking to meet anyone in particular...
Who I don't want to meet:
No, I do not want to see pictures of your dick. No, I do not care if you're "21, tall, and gifted." You're also a moron. I swear, these are two recent emails. If you're going to send me a message like this, don't waste your time, or more importantly, MY time. Also, I have no patience for people who do not know basic grammar (see below).
Don't even know where to begin!
Childhood faves: Metallica, Pantera, Danzig, Violent Femmes, Bon Jovi, Sepultura, Guns N' Roses.
Newer discoveries include Disturbed, KINKY (amazing musicians and adorable to boot!), Lacuna Coil, Audioslave (at least the first album), Calahan, Sextus.
I have always and will always LOVE glam rock no matter what anyone says- Poison (miss ya, Cecil), Warrant (Um...Sabrina...), Motley Crue, Skid Row.
Can't forget the heavy stuff either- Slayer, Death Angel, Deconstruct (Joe, Venessa and Skitz KICK ASS!).
This could really go on for days...
The Starfuckers (Dizzy Reed, Eric Singer, Eric Dover, Stefan Adika) doing S.O.S. on Lisa Marie's Birthday:
Alex shredding away with Quiet Riot:
Texas Terri & Rox:
Happy Gilmore, Thirteen, Dirty Dancing (don't laugh- it's secretly every girl's favorite!)
Usually only on to play CDs thru the DVD player, but if by some miracle I am actually watching TV, its VH1 for "I Love the 80's," "Behind the Music" or any metal special they have on. And no, I did NOT watch "Rock of Love"- caught one episode and it was such bs that I refused to watch it again, although our Lacey kicked butt!
Haven't had time to read anything but law books in ages! And even then, I didn't really read them so much as skim. Devoured Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft as a kid. Newer picks: Nerd Girl Rocks Paradise City and The Dirt (the autobiography of Motley Crue). Some all time faves: The Odyssey by Homer (Lattimore translation) and Seutonius' Lives of the Twelve Caesars- I know, I know, I'm a Classics dork!
Rox lived more life in a day than most of us do in a year. He chased his dreams and saw many of them realized. Every life he touched, he made better. How many of us can say the same thing?
And my girls, of course:
