Robin Meade
Bone up on your minister's daughter jokes. The eponym of CNN Headline News' morning show Morning Express with Robin Meade is not only the daughter of a minister, but she was also 1992's Miss Ohio. The part-Native American beauty queen with those devilishly arched eyebrows, seductively curved lips à la Gina Gershon and a smile that could light up Atlantic City is all the incentive we need to get out of bed in the morning. When she's not reading the news, she's also an accomplished singer. In fact, Meade once sang "Alexander's Ragtime Band" for Bush Sr. at a campaign rally.
Linda Stouffer
With her pixie-ish good looks, anchor Linda Stouffer could be newsdom's Tara Reid. Her real first name is Cinnamon, but she adopted her middle name when she joined Headline News in order to tone down the cute factor. No such luck. That native Texas twang ramps the cute factor right back up. Spicy Cinammon has news in her blood. She met her husband, CBS News correspondent Mark Strassmann, in a satellite truck in Waco, Texas the day after the raid on the compound.
Kelly O'Donnell
Kelly O’Donnell was named Capitol Hill Correspondent in December 2007. She contributes to all NBC News properties, including “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,†“TODAY,†and MSNBC.Her reporting has taken her to all 50 states and to 47 countries.
Cynné Simpson
Cynné Simpson is an award-winning journalist who anchors ABC7/WJLA-TV's Weekend Evening news. Cynné comes to ABC7 from Atlanta where she anchored the weekday evening news for CBS-46/WGCL-TV.
She is thrilled to be back in Washington DC where her journalism career began. Cynné was a student at Howard University when she impressed Ted Koppel with her ability to report in English and Spanish. He personally invited her to join the ABC News Nightline staff as a fellow. After graduation, Cynné transitioned to work in front of the camera with reporting positions in South Bend, Indiana and Kansas City, Missouri.
A five-time Emmy Award nominee and recipient of two William Randolph Hearst Writing Awards, Cynné is most proud of her work off the anchor desk. In 2005, she received a Congressional Award for Community Service for her volunteer work with several charities. Cynné is currently working alongside singer/actress Mandy Moore as a national ambassador for the women's empowerment campaign, You Pump It Up.
Cynne's commitment to the community and professional achievements earned her the top spot on Ebony Magazine's 2006 list of Leaders for the Future.
She is originally from suburban Detroit but grew up in Sacramento, California. Cynné graduated magna cum laude from Howard University and has studied as an exchange student in Spain and Costa Rica.
Cynné loves to travel and some of her recent adventures include exploring Egypt's ancient pyramids, scuba diving through a wrecked ship in the Dominican Republic and backpacking through Europe. When she's not working, she's usually planning her next voyage, volunteering with local charities or spending time with family.
