.. http://reunification.webs.com/Maryah is home but we are still going through with the documentary. This project has reached so many people already. We read the news paper and see a child died in foster care. We turn on the TV and see another child sexually abused or beaten. These children need a voice. Maryah is one of the lucky ones. That sounds so strange to say; when she was in foster care she was not eating well. Her skin was pale and pasty looking. But she was able to come home. There are cases where the children will never make it home to their parents or other family members that want them. There are children that have had their innocents stolen from them and they never will be the same. How can we as a society allow children to be taken from a, so called, unsafe environment and then be placed where they might not live out the year? I am not saying all foster care is bad or all cases are wrong. However there have been numerous cases that have ended in tragic outcomes. In Colorado alone we had 13 children die in foster care last year. One lost life is too many. We, as a society, need to help all children have a voice. Every child is a gift and should be treated as such. With our documentary we want to give families, social worker, children, and others an opportunity to share their story to help others. I am sure Child Protective Services have a very hard job, but what is being done to make sure they are doing their job effectively. We as a society have the power to make a difference. Please help us share the concerns and stories of children that have no voice.

Maryah is home!

Our baby is home!!!!! She arrived at 2:30 PM today. We're just gonna love her up and not let her every go again. We missed her so much and love her more than life!!!!
