In the fickle , "flavour-du-jour" world of music where Rock bands disintegrate daily and continually drop like flies, BLACKMAKER continues to defy gravity. This Chicago based outfit has weathered the storms and rigors of the road to come into 2007 with a new EP of what is being hailed as the bands strongest material to date. The opening cut "BLEED", features a guest appearance by FOO FIGHTERS / WALLFLOWERS keyboardist RAMI JAFFE, whose trademark B-3 work blends perfectly into what is already a tightly locked unit.Recently the band was putting the finishing touches on mixes for the project in Los Angeles at Hollywood's famous Radio Recorders when singer Rod Jackson from SLASH'S SNAKE PIT marched into the control room of Studio 'A' and demanded to know:"WHO THE F**K IS THAT?"Shortly thereafter, phones began to ring thru the ranks and a hastily arranged slot for the following Saturday night at "THE JOINT" turned into a packed house of Hollywood's Rock and Roll elite; and the West Coast got it's first taste of what Mid Westerners already knew...Any Stage...Anywhere...Anytime...Blackmaker
