About Me

The most popluar modernist models of the 1960s, Tani Sahne and Lizzy Lane, both hugely popular in their own right, commercially and otherwise. Well known as the faces of 1965 and the style icons of that era, these girls have achieved enourmous worldwide acclaim, for, amoungst other things, their amazing beauty, peace protests, hip social status, making guest appearances as backing singers, dallying with the beat groups of the era, and most of all, their iconic sense of style. These girls are:
Scousers & proud of it!
These girls exemplify the fun of the beat era. They represent a generation, and with no doubt, to this day they are definetely the hip ladies on the block. They dallyed with The Beatles from the early 60s in Liverpool and had many fun times dancing at the Cavern and even joined the band's entourage for their first trip to Hamburg in Autumn 1960. They stayed with the band at The Indra and partied with the boys at The Kaiserkeller, making quite a name for themselves around the scene, as "Beatles' freundinnen". They began modelling together whilst still in Liverpool, often appearing on local merseyside band's L.P covers. In 1965 Lizzy moved to St John's Wood in London's Northwest, to pursue her promotional modelling career, whilst Tani Sahne became an iconic figure of fashion, strongly making her mark up against the likes of Twiggy and the dollybirds of the day.

"Well she was just seventeen You know what I mean And the way she looked Was way beyond compare So how could I dance with another, Oh, when I saw her standing thereWell she looked at me and I, I could see That before too long I'd fall in love with her She wouldn't dance with another Oh, when I saw her standing thereWell my heart went boom When I crossed that room And I held her hand in mineOh we danced through the night And we held each other tight And before too long I fell in love with her Now I'll never dance with another Oh, when I saw her standing there"
