I a Melbourne girl at heart- that will never change. But Brighton has been an awesome substitute to home during my stint overseas. What i love most to do is write, film and play the guitar- all at once if i could. There's loads of other things too like laugh loudly, dance, sing, see live music, travel, be around my fave people in the world, anyone with the same stupid comic sense as me and laugh loudly some more - you get it...i got into filmmaking a while back mostly cause i love being able to create different visions and versions of the world through a viewfinder- which is up there for me with writing about it. I studied Film and TV production at Uni pretty restlessly before heading o/s in an almighty hurry. It was worth it thou as i wouldn't be where i am now w/out traveling around for a while.Recently i've settled down a bit and started taking filmmaking more seriously, setting up a production company called Newborn- check it out. Most of our experience centers around music videos but more recently we've produced promotional, corporate, events and soon to be documentaries too. I would love to be a doc-maker as i learn loads from and am inspired by powerful documentaries. Mostly it would be cool to bring the experiences of other cultures, perhaps people less fortunate than myself to the forefront to effect some positive change. (all in a visually stimulating and creatively unforgettable way of course) Sort of a documentarian! But thats just me.
