Drayke performed live at "Discordane" (March 3, 2006@Lebanese University)
BLooD InK first came up as a result of a school idea; initially by Rab (vocalist) and Assad (a friend). As soon as RoyN (bassist) joined the equation, BLooD InK started getting formed. That was in early 2002.
Within the first two years, the band had not made any major progress as it had to change drummers twice, and Farid (originally keyboardist) ended up taking the 3rd and final drummer seat. Not too long after, OusS (guitarist) had to leave the band to continue his studies abroad; RoyN had also travelled for a while, so the band was on temporary standby (~5 months).
After RoyN's return, November 2003, the band had extensive tryouts that reached a hard tie between two; and finally recruited Raghid as a replacement.
That was when BLooD InK was finally formed, Nov.03:
Farid, Rab, Raghid, RoyD, and RoyN.
After everything was settled between the members, the band was finally able to work on itself more seriously, so the album work began (March 2004). It took the band around a year and a half of preparation and recording to be able to deliver an album; this was due to the fact the band itself was doing all the work (composing, recording, mixing/mastering, graphic work, etc.) and needed further time to be able to cope with all the duties and deliver a good product to its fans.
"Bleed the Ink" was finally completed in March 2006, a while before it got released locally.
In early 2007, RoyD had a problem with his arm and was unable to continue with the band for a while. The band got Alexi Khoury as a temporary replacement, but after some while and still not healing, RoyD decided to actually step aside from the band due to personal time issues and not to delay the band any further. Eventually we found a permanent replacement, Jad Matta, and he's been in the band since mid-March 2007.
The band would like to thank RoyD and OusS for their continuous support of the band and for the important role they played in the band at their time.
