About Me

I'm Sharon and I am Native American from Alaska. I am a member of the Tlingit tribe and am 3/8 Alaskan Indian. I was born in Arlington, WA and moved to Connecticut when I was 8. I feel like I grew up in Connecticut although I left there when I was 14 to move to Juneau, AK to visit and see my family there. Sadly, I have never really gotten into my heritage and don't really know a lot about it. I guess it's interesting to me but not the way I want to live my life. I live more like just an average American than Native American. You could say that I am a little bit spoiled but what woman isn't really? I believe a little bit in the old fashioned way of life as in the man should provide the solid foundation for his family and create the stability and security. Even if his family is just himself and his significant other, spouse, etc. My life has had many ups and downs and I prefer it to be stable and secure. I'm not into illegal drugs and drink only lightly most of the time. There are still a few times here and there where I like to get a little intoxicated and have fun (only when it's safe). I am a cigarette smoker and don't plan to change that at this time. I'm a pretty intelligent person but have not had a lot of formal college education to list on a resume. I enjoy a lot of top 40 and hip hop music but not a lot of the hard core stuff.

I'd like to meet:

A Gentleman. I am very romantic and would like to be with someone who has a macho personality but can also show his affection without a problem. Usually I am attracted to older men and I think that is because they are more stable most of the time and can remember a world where a man was a gentleman. I like someone who is protective toward me and who makes me feel secure. I guess I have been with too many very self-centered men. I would love to share my life with someone who is willing to open up to sharing his life with me. Some people I've met are very set in their ways and don't realize that they are not really allowing room for someone to come in and be a part of their life. Maybe that is the problem with the older men, they are set in their ways so it's hard for them to change their life a litte to allow someone to share their life with them. I have also run into the ones having their mid-life crisis who, although they say they want a lifelong relationship, they are really just going through a phase. So, to sum it up, I like a strong man who can also be romantic, someone who is protective toward me and open to having someone in their life. Someone who is not an alcoholic but can enjoy some drinks and keep it under control and does not do illegal drugs. A partner, friend and lover.
