The Armpit Thief

I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Ello, DON'T add me as a friend unless I actually know you, or you've at least sent me a message first!!
I don't want to end up with a million and one friends on here, who I don't even know! I do however accept cash bribes....
I live in Manchester, and moved here from Glasgow in January '06. I quite like it down here actually, though I do miss all my friends back home. Trying to get out and meet people is difficult though - I'm dead shy!

My Interests

Interests eh? Lots of stuff interests me - but that doesn't mean I enjoy it.

I enjoy Music. I'm not really into all the latest fashionable indie bands, but I know a good choon when I hear it. I meet lots of bands at work, and alot of them seem really pretentious, and without substance. Substances - yes. Substance - no.

I enjoy watching films, even when I don't get them. :-p I can still only give the vaguest outline of starwars even though I've seen it loooaaadddssss. It's the experience I enjoy.

Oooh, what else. I enjoy my job in Radio. It gives me the chance to be creative, in my own way. I can take some random bits, and make it into something useful. I enjoy the pressure of my job, mainly because I love a challenge.

I enjoy being around my mates. Sadly I can't do this as much as I'd like any more, seeing as I've moved 300 miles away from most of them.

I enjoy being told random storys which lead nowhere. I enjoy knowing random things, which will only ever come up in obscure pub quizzes - like the boiling point of orange juice.

I enjoy architecture. Modern concrete/glass/steel buildings rarely please me. I love buildings with character. I love exploring hidden places - seeing what most people miss. Noticing brilliant detail on a stone arch 70 feet off the ground, which 1000 people walk past every day. That kinda thing.

The list goes on - just ask and I'll bore you to death/coma with more

I'd like to meet:

At the moment, meeting anybody would be good. Manchester's a boring place when you don't know many people. If you're remotely interesting, and from the Manchester area - send me a message. :-D

People with a passion interest me, whether it be Art, Music, or Pineapples. Doesn't matter. Passion shows intelligence. People without passion or ambition tend to bore me after a while.

Oh and I still wanna have a few quiet words with Santa. He never brought me a train set in 1992! He's gonna pay......

Brody Dalle Amanda Palmer Carrie Ann Moss Sinead O'conner (skinhead or otherwise) Angelina Jolie (but only when she was in Gone in 60 Seconds) Regina Spektor

-:-

Jimi Hendrix -

....just because they are all songs which tell a story. Each story comes across so vividly and beautifully to me, and each has a particular personal meaning.
That's what music started out as - a means to communicate messages and stories. Sure, songs like 'Firestarter' and 'Smells like Teen Spirit' are fecking awesome, but they don't have the same power over my mind, heart, and emotions as those 5 do. If you've never heard some of them before, I can reccommend you listen to them and read the lyrics too. Just awesome!

Heroes:

I've been trying to remember if I've ever had any heros, but I can't think of any. There are lots of people I have a huge amount of respect for tho:

Dino - He's just been an awesome mate to me, and he's as mad as a bag full of squirrels, coated in caramel.
Liz - Nothing ever seems to stop this girl. She's gutsy, and a complete star.
Mark - Pure and simple, Legend.
All the rest of you rock aswell, but I've known these 3 the longest, so there. :-p
