All art is quite useless ~Oscar Wilde

About Me

An Orlando transplant Spoken Word artist/HR superhero. Interests include Hinduism and writing in sentence fragments. I'm a father like Marc Bolan: You won't fool the children of the revolution. My wife is essential for space travel. And for the uninitiated: Yes I am the quiet guy standing at the bar with the man-purse not talking to anybody. No I'm not Indian. Trust me you'll never guess it on your own. Come say hi.

My Interests

Hear my Spoken Word Series

I'd like to meet:

Mark Mothersbaugh. Gary Numan. People who send messages before sending friend requests on myspace. Don Cheadle. Lauren Ambrose,

Music:

Echo & The Bunnymen, New York Dolls,Thin Lizzy, The Velvet Underground,Brian Eno, Download, Skinny Puppy, Sonic Youth, Kool Keith, Cocoa Brovas, The Sex Pistols, The Fall, Negativland, Devin & The Offenders, Velocity Girl (RIP), Joy Division, David Bowie, T Rex, Roxy Music, The Dead Boys, Unrest, Dinosaur Jr., Black Moon, Old Punk, PostPunk, Oldwave, Darkwave, Industrial, Plunderphonics, Rap, Traditional Indian music, you know how we roll.

Movies:

Dr. Strangelove, 2001: A Space Odyssey; pretty much most Kubrick, really. Apocalypse Now, Mulholland Drive, Dune, Pan's Labyrinth, oh and how abut that Hayao Miyazake? Kiki's Delivery Service, My Friend Totoro, Princess Mononoke; all those are classics. I also liked Men at Work with Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez. The Great Rock N Roll Swindle, Cooley High, The Last Big Thing

Television:

The Office both UK and US versions, love Fox cartoons can't stand their news, TV overall is a useless drain of time and energy. I know because I watch it all the time. Basilisk and Naruto for Anime, Monty Python's Flying Circus is television's redemption. Plenty of stuff that's off the air now because it kept it too real for the status quo. Oh and Top Design.

Books:

The Picture of Dorian Gray (Wilde), Still Life with Woodpecker (Robbins), Fair Use (Negativland), The Baghavad-Gita (Vyasa), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Thompson), Book of the Subgenius ("Dobbs")

Heroes:

Ashley, and not only for the obvious reason. The oculist from The Great Gatsby. Always present, never there. Andy Warhol. Lydia Lunch, Mark E. Smith. All the wierd ones who stuck to it and perpetuated the world of the strange insects beneath the logpile. Fathers everywhere. Tantong: Mother, Sister, Writer, Inspiration

Do you want to be part of a world of sleeping people?

After listening to a message from an unnamed spokesman of Thee Temple Ov Psychic Youth entitled "Neurology", I am convinced to take a more serious and regemented approach to art.  Over the past f...

I just had a frustrating go at David Lynch's "Inland Empire".  I'll leave the movie criticism for later, but I bring up Mr. Lynch because much like his "Rabbits" surreal motion picture series, I ...
