Gabe Lopez is quickly becoming one of the country's premier performers. From being a master of ceremonies and DJ for night clubs and other spectacular events, to grabbing a microphone at any comedy club or corporate function, the sky is the limit for this future star. Gabe's diverse career began at the age of ten, when he was given the opportunity to be a disc jockey for a small Spanish radio station in Los Angeles. Four hours of air time on Sunday mornings quickly grew to more air time as he was given the title "The youngest disc jockey in America". Years of radio commercials and air time eventually led to hosting assorted events as well becoming the master of ceremonies for many night clubs by the age of eighteen. That experience led to becoming trained as a night club DJ. The mixture of being an on air personality and a night club DJ is where Gabe discovered his passion for music and comedy. Gabe has been a DJ for night clubs and special events for over twelve years. His first step toward his life long dream of stepping onto a comedy club stage finally came on June 6, 2002. An open mic night at the Improv in Ontario, California led to a new career in stand-up comedy for Gabe. That performance led to an invitation to the first annual Las Vegas Comedy Festival in September 2002. Competing against hundreds of comics, Gabe was selected to the final 10 comics after only four months of stand-up experience.
Now in 2006, Gabe's stand-up comedy career has led to performances at colleges and comedy clubs throughout the country, as well as opening for headlining acts such as Jeff Garcia, Pablo Francisco, and the late Freddy Soto. One thing is certain, the observational and sarcastic style of Gabe Lopez will have crowds laughing for years to come.
