Superstition lies in the space between what we can control and what we can't. Find a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck. No one wants to pass up a chance for good luck. But does saying it 33 times really help? Is anyone actually listening? Why do we bother doing those strange things? We rely on superstitions because we're smart enough to know we don't have all the answers.. and that life works in mysterious ways.
I am pursuing a broadcasting major at usc, which will potentially lead me to new york city or los angeles to intern.(I am happy to say my dream interning in hollywood has come true as of August 17th, 07) it wasn't easy getting to where i am and it still isn't, but determination is key. as cliche as it sounds, you just have to believe in yourself. i believe in myself. and i believe in you too. life is messy.. there's the never ending family problems, the financial issues, broken hearts, and the occasional unsolved arguments with so and so...Maybe we like the pain. maybe we're wired that way. because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. we learn, we cry, we grow.
yes, i can get crazy and yes i am all over the place. but thats ok. i like to call it courage. i'm into traveling, personalities, and deep drunk/sober conversations. i really dont plan anything..theres high heels and water bottles everywhere in my car. i could be messy. i could be emotional. a night out at a club is most fun for me. i cherish a friendship, and will toss you out if disrespected. I cant waste time. We cant waste time, lets go.
I've always been a girl with a big heart (from my mom) and big dreams (from my dad), and too stubborn to accept NO for an answer. There's so much out there!
the advice i can give you is to network (networking will work wonders for you)to never give up, and to make sure you are listening. i've been close to falling, but i had those few precious individuals to save me;to listen. in the end, all people want is someone to be there when they need to let it out. the venting. the joy. make sure you are open ears and not all talk. find those precious few, and live. through the pain. through the happy.
