His grace is sufficient for me - that's all I need

About Me

I changed some things and lost the kind words in memoriam to my blue minivan. I don't want to tell you anything else about me.

My Interests

Somehow what I used to have written in this box got very little attention, as my attention was absorbed by other things, like watching television, procrastinating, worrying, regretting things, making mistakes, wondering what I was doing, wishing I could be different, and not knowing what else I would be. So now, I need to be interested only in accepting God's grace and living under it. He loves me as I am, both King of kings and Lover of my soul.

I'd like to meet:

It's not life and death here. I take messages from anyone. But no guarantee I'll be your myspace friend. Jesus loves us all, and you, but I'm just not around here very much.

Music:

Cat Power, The Llewellyn-Swann Project, Frank Sinatra, Coldplay, Skratchline, Dashboard Confessional, Switchfoot, Jack Johnson, Further Seems Forever, Relient K, Etta James, Ben Harper, Weezer (older stuff), Christmas music, The Postal Service, The Beatles, MXPX, Phil Collins, Marvin Gaye, Pink Martini, Counting Crows, Lenny Kravitz, Jars of Clay, Jamie Cullum, Black Eyed Peas, the Killers, Peter Gabriel, Jimmy Eat World, the Stranglers, Rufus Wainwright, the Beatles, Sixpence None the Richer.

Movies:

Waking Ned Divine is a movie every person should seek out. The Pianist. The Lord of the Rings series. Benny & Joon. Breakfast at Tiffany's. My Fair Lady. Sabrina. Roman Holiday. Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Amelie. Foreign films. Spiderman I and II. Yours, Mine, and Ours. Crash. Elizabethtown. And a really interesting documentary about the dangers of vinyl production appropriately titled "Blue Vinyl."

Television:

Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs.

Books:

The Bible, Mere Christianity, Lewis' Space trilogy, esp. Perelandra, Till We Have Faces, The Screwtape Letters, The Giver, Don Quixote, The Chronicles of Narnia, Not Even a Hint, The Good Earth. This should really be a list of books I want to read, since I have hundreds and rarely do anything about it.

Heroes:

Father, Son, and Holy Ghost have no other real place to be mentioned and therefore fall here, though "hero" is an inappropriate word. Albert Einstein, C. S. Lewis, Mom, Dad, and those friends who are doing what I want to do when God makes it right.

For Neil's benefit

I did cut my hair! And i did a mighty good job, if no one minds my complimenting myself. There have been some touch-ups, but I did those, too, so it's a complete self-cut. It's above my shoulders b...

I think I'll post this as a bulletin, too, because I don't think anyone reads these. I don't really read them on other people's stuff. Anyway, I just added robin, and that makes a 3:13 ratio of girl...
