I did not create this page to talk so much 'about me' as much as I did to talk about the films that I am creating. Charlie Chaplin said that if you wanted to know about him all you had to do is watch his films. I am not confident enough in myself yet to say that about myself, but I believe I have a slight understanding of what he means. I do not want to speak much for the films; I'd rather have the films speak to they who see them. But I would like this page to be a link to them. I believe them to be full of joy. With a few words I will say this: they are silent films, short in length; in the good ole days they would be known as two-reelers. They feature a main character, Purdie and follows him on various adventures where he confronts boozers, malicious cops, angry boyfriends, and sadistic farmhands. All the films are in the classic style of Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and Laurel and Hardy. Mainly, meaning, they are silent slapstick films. However, they are in color and set in modern times. The first DVD will be released in April of 2007 and is entitled "Haphazard Happenings with Purdie and Friends." It will feature three short silent slapstick comedies: "A Hole in the Bucket," "Classified Love", and "Girl Trouble." My wish is that all who see the films can take something away from them, hopefully, a laugh.
