I'm a theatrical violence designer/stuntman working in Chicago: I'm the "D" in R&D Choreography. In the last 10 years, my business partenr and I have designed the violence and mayhem for over 120 productions and taught stage combat classes (the Fightshop) for about seven years now.I am also studying to be an American Sign Language interpreter and currently work as the Coordinator of Interpreting Services at a small interpreting agency.

My Interests

In my downtime, I enjoy writing in several genres. In the arena of live theatre, I have had five short plays and over 30 short sketches receive full productions, while another piece received a staged reading at Chicago's Goodman Theatre. I have published numerous nonfiction articles on the web and in print, covering topics as varied as dogpacking, sign language interpreting, U.S. Dept. of Education policy, and roleplaying games. I also pen the occasional first-person essay, and an ezine recently bought a couple of those.
