hm...yes, i think we get the idea. writing wise, the stuff i do, is purley solo based, although i am also the bassist for a band called The Phoenix Rose-which is a ethnic rock band. We have our first single out now on itunes and our website www.thephoenixrose.com so please support but buying a copy-and also 25p from each sale goes to the charity 'street child africa'. back to solo stuff. its hard to put a genre on it, but its very much influenced by people like nick drake, joni mitchel, and those kinda people. i recorded my first album, just me, in 2003, after my gcses, which was a huge success....without it ever being in a single shop. (thats out for a fiver, and its just me with my guitar for about 45 mins, all origonal material-hence the name.) the next cd i have is my second album, something to sing about, this time with a band/strings which has 10 tracks and costs a mere £5 if your interested. thats all writing wise. instruments i play are the cello, the flute, a very small bit of piano, bass guitar, and acoustic guitar, plus i sing. ...
eeerrrmm..not rezlly into films or tv that much, but if id have to choose, they'd be 'almost famous', 'big fish', and then various stand up comedy videos, which include prety much all eddie izzard, and also allan davies, oh and not forgetting the all mighty monty python films....
ugh. dont watch tv, unless theres a decent music channel, or something like have i got news for you on there. then its funny. i also watch dvd's of stuff like spaced, or red dwarf and i love digging out videos of the young ones too......
