Following the release of Terrell Lamont’s solo album "The Non-fiction L.P." (2006) Terrell Lamont (emcee/producer) became the foundation for the gospel hip hop band 1:21. The band name comes from the Bible verse in Philippians 1:21 "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." 1:21 has a "true hip hop" feel with influences from Soul, Jazz, and traditional Gospel music. Terrell writes his music from his personal life experiences and from a Christ centered world view. 1:21’s purpose is to bring "the truth to the lost and encourage those who believe."
