If you can't read two sentences to figure out that I am a PHOTOGRAPHER and not a model/fan site/hair dresser/etc, I do not want to be your friend. If YoU TyPe Lyke ThIs, I DoN'T WaNt To bE UR FrIeNd. If you want me to take an online survey and win $100, I don't want to be your friend. COME ON PEOPLE, IT'S SPELLED YOUR (ie. "I like your work.") or YOU'RE (ie. "I think you're awesome.") - BUT NEVER EVER IS IT SPELLED UR. OK, thanks, end rant. Ok, now that's out of the way...I'm Debbi, and I'm a photographer from New Jersey. A note: Don't EVER start with me about Jersey cause I'll knock your teeth in. I think it's hard to put yourself in little boxes, both literally and figuratively...but I did try my best.

I love working on location, and I think finding interesting places to shoot is half the fun. I drive around in my dragon-mobile a lot, just looking at the scenery. I can find almost anything beautiful. I'm just trying to bring some fabulousness to the world, and maybe get people thinking a little while I'm at it.

AN ARTIST MUST BE OBSESSED.

I work from that place of obsession. I am a firm believer in lucky mistakes. I live for the rush of that breakthrough moment. It's hard to make a statement without being criticized, but I think that's the job of an artist.

I don't know if the fact that I am very judgemental helps or hinders me. I am a perfectionist. I am also very sensitive. I am very aware of myself. I expect to get back what I put in, and that's 100%.

I am serious about my art, but it's also important to have fun. Maybe even more fun than serious. OK, definitely more fun than serious.

NJ Exhibit!
