Without actually knowing me, I don't think you'd understand my interests. And that's simply due to the a.d.d. causing me to bound from topic to topic in a confusing sequence. It has nothing to do with your intelligence, I'd just have to draw you a map to keep up sometimes...
I'm content with who I know now but if I had to choose, I'd have at least one big dinner Last Supper style with Freddy Mercury, Ron Jeremy, Jeff Buckley, Hitler and his woman, Mike Modano, that Jane Roe lady, my college history and English profs, even though I already know them, and whoever else I think of at the time the invitations are sent. It'd make for an interesting event, I'd hope.
..I'd like to think I have alot of good selections going in the music catagory but there's alot of it out there and to each his own... I listen to just about anything. When I get a juke box playlist going at work, though, there are a few that always make the list. Queen, Led Zeppelin, Outkast, Stevie Wonder, Cake, and Foo Fighters make great bar music.
My favorite genre is Horror, hands down. Now with that, comes the segregation when we bring "horror" into disection. I'm not talking about the more recent releases like Snakes on a Plane or that crap Cloverfield movie. I'm talking about good old fashioned horror. We'll put the blame on my dad for this one. (and yes, the gimmicky ones too) If it involves zombies, Vincent Price, black and white, or accidently disfigured bad guys that are mad at the world, I'm all over it. If it has a remake, I'm more than likely rooting for the original. Point made? I hope so. There's nothing more discouraging than trying to talk horror movies and having someone tell you that the remake of House of Wax was awesome. The best part of that movie was Paris Hilton getting a large metal pipe through the face.
After that, I love anything made by the Rogue Pictures guys (Shaun of the Dead), the ORIGINAL Star Wars Trilogy, almost anything George Lucas for that matter, the Pixar movies, a few of your oh-so-student-film "indie" movies, and various others I don't feel the need to list. Oh, and gangster movies. Not to be confused with gangst-A movies. I'm talking organized mob crimes, not fitty cent and his I-got-shot-80-times type movies...
If you've been to my place, you've seen my movies. Period.
After living in the Stone Age these last 2 and a half years, I've grown distant from our beloved boob tube. Since returning, I've mainly gone back and forth between cartoon network, hbo, whatever channel has family guy, the history channel and whatever catches my attention. The food network isn't that bad, either...
So my senior year of highschool I read the entire Dragonlance collection made by the original authors. Since then, I'm not ashamed to say I became a Harry Potter nerd, read all of the Sin City books, got into the Preacher comics, and picked up a few random books that don't require me to run out and buy part 2. Let's face it. Sometimes when you read A book, you feel content and accomplished. I hated finishing a Harry Potter book and then having to wait for J. K. what'shername to put out the next one...
Not sure I'd say I have any heroes in particular. I have people I respect and look to for advice here and there, but I'm not sure I'd qualify anyone as a hero. Nothing personal. I know people that have done some pretty awesome things, they know who they are, and that's all that really matters. But Evel Knievel was a badass.
