I read voraciously and unendingly. I am a scuba diver and horseback rider, and I draw what I see and write about it, too.
The sea is the cradle of life.
I like thinking about the universe. Do you have any idea how small we are? I mean earth, the human race, as compared to the wide, gaping maw of the universe. You probably don't; I certainly don't. We're just too amazingly, irrefusably, infinitesimally tiny. I like thinking about that. We take ourselves so seriously.
Perhaps going along with that, I don't believe in god. Mostly. I like thinking about the idea of a god, and I suppose I could believe in some sort of intelligent design leading up to the circumstances of the Big Bang. But I'm thinking that intelligent design is a scientist who decided to see if he (or she, or hermaphroditic squid-scientist with tentacles) could create a universe in a terrarium, and he succeeded, and that was us. He certainly doesn't know your thoughts or care about your sins--he doesn't know your name. He probably doesn't know your planet exists, hell, your solar system even. Maybe he can see the Milky Way Galaxy--it's a smudge of milky white on the edge of the terrarium, but there's nothing particularly interesting going on in it. Did you know, there are at least millions of other advanced civilizations in the Milky way alone? At *least*? I love that.
I'd like to meet:
My Loves, Anytime:
Mimadee ♥
This is the most beautiful girl in the world, as evidenced by this photo =D. She is compassionate, kind, full of fire and energy, talented, active, and incredibly intelligent and so, so strong. She's in the process of changing the world around her, and witnessing her movement through life is like watching a raw force of nature sometimes. I'm in awe of her, and so glad--SO glad!--to call her my best friend. We've grown up together, and she's forever my sister. I LURVE YOO, GIRL!
Matthew ♥
This boy might as well be a piece of my own soul, and I of his. We are in love; there's really nothing else to it. We're each others' refuge, confidants, partners in every way. He heals me, he comforts me, laughs with me, accepts me for exactly who am, unto the deepest reaches of my inner self. He's made my life such an ease and a joy for these past years, and I'll forever be in his debt. Hmm. I wonder how I'll pay that off...;-D. I love you, my Matt, I love you, I love you =)
Alex ♥
My gladness for this boy's existence can hardly be expressed. His mind is unbelievably beautiful, and he seems to project an aura of that joyous beauty into everything he does. Being around him and sharing experiences with him is enlightening; a few minutes of talking with him can restore my love for life, and his smile is so incredibly genuine that it just makes me feel like everything is more real. Yeah. I really love this kid. Oh, and by the way, he took and designed this photo.
Whitney ♥
Look at this picture! LOOK AT THE PICTURE! Is he not the most incredible kid ever? He looks, to me, like John Lennon with Legolas's hair, and that's accurate enough: he has Lennon's unbelievable musical ability and will to make positive world change, and Legolas's fierce loyalty to those he loves. He's the most thoroughly giving soul that I know, and routinely talks people back from the deepest reaches of their despair. Before I met him, I was petrified to sing in front of people, but he coaxed me out of my shell, and now I sing while walking down the street. He has that effect on people. I love you, Whitney SchusterNick ♥
Nick has a few different faces. There are times when he's got the energy of nuclear fusion in his veins, and then he's animated and joyous and ready to make great noise; and then he can get very quiet, very still, and the most astonishing things can come out of his mouth. Nick is the sweetest soul. He would die for his friends, and probably kill for them, too. His drumming is unbelievable. And, ladies, by the way, he's single ;-D
Laura ♥
I know. Effing adorable.Claire ♥
This chick knocks my socks off. She's incredible. She runs with one of the top track teams in the country, and plays fiddle for a famous Canadian band, the Cottars. Wait...what? You haven't heard of the Cottars? Get on that, man. You're seriously behind the times. Look for them on iTunes. Anyway, she has more talent than is fair for one person to have, and yet she's incredibly sweet, humorous and loving. A cooler person has probably never lived.
Chandler ♥
This is Chan, also known as McLovin. This is what he does best: makes music. Here, he's doing the death scream, but you can mostly find him rocking his bass. He's incredible. His energy always adds a bit of lightness to a situation, and he's a master of dry humor. The stories that come out of Chan can be sidesplitting. And chicks, be wary: this one's free, too. Get 'im while you can ;-) And by the way, this great photo is credited to Alex.

Television:
Dexter is one of the most interesting concepts, in my opinion, ever created for TV, and the plot twist at the end of the 1st season was unbelievably astonishing. DON'T WATCH IT ON NORMAL TV. They're gonna have to kill it for the little kids to watch =D Rent it on Netflix.
LOST! It's beautiful. It's amazing. It's soooo complicated and little THINGS pop up everywhere.
House. It's hilarious. Though it seems to follow a predictable formula. About 3/4ths through, House will say, "Stop all treatment!" and his assistants will say, "NOOOO!" and he'll go, "Fine! He'll die!" and House wins.
Six Feet Under is indisputably the most brilliant TV show ever. I mean, what could be more beautifully dysfunctional than a family that runs a funeral home? It's extremely well-done.
Other than that, TV? Get the fuck away from it. Most of it will rot your brain and convince you that you need a Hummer in the meantime.
