I grew up on a ranch...doing rancher stuff like hauling hay and feeding the horses. Played sports in High School - I think I was complacent about college ball - I didn't put as much effort as I could have - then I broke my ankle. As the years went by I watched my dreams of becoming a professional athelete fade as the time went by. So I decided I wanted to be an actor. Did the acting thing - took lessons from Rob Diamand and The Actors Lounge - did some modeling - Met Janice Dickinson - and she straight hooked me up. Got my foot in with IMG Models through Janice (love her for that) fulfilled my dream of being in GQ Magazine. (For real ask my H.S. Friends about GQ) that was cool - then I kinda had an early 20's breakdown and dropped Bananas in Paris to go home and finish my flying license. My other dream was becoming an airline pilot like my papa and my bro. I became a flight instructor at 23 and at 24 I got a corporate pilot gig. That was pretty sweet - I flew around the Western US dropping into some pretty mountainous airports with short runways...nothing like coming out of the clouds with the runway lights centerline..I did that until I got word of Janice starting an agency. I couldn't pass up on this opportunity - I mean Janice and I - we're tight. Yeah, like homeys. So I flew out to LA...didn't tell my boss until I got picked up by the agency. Quit my job as a pilot and moved to LA! Crazy huh? I took some heat for that one but this was my dream so I did it! The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency was the bomb - Janice is the bomb. I will work with Janice again and I can't wait to do so! JDMA led into me producing a reality show called Bridezillas on WE thanks to some amazing people on the production team....that's where I learned production. I did everything on Bridezillas from being a PA 15 hrs a day taking notes and running around with some "bridezillas!!" to casting on the show as well as a shooter (I got to be a shooter/producer although the credits don't actually state it...my footage was used!) That was a blast - Now I have my own production company Deja Vu Productions - production of films, commercials, home tours, and basically anything video related. I have had the opportunity to work with Jive Records and Deepside producing a reality piece on a concert while they were in Utah.. (that was awesome) and now I am the Supervising Producer of many other projects...whew good thing I learned from the best producers in LA! I love my job - I smile every day! Nothin but love for you Janice - can't wait to do some more big things with U fo sho! I used to go camping with my friends and tubing down the river. I like making a throne out of the rocks on the shore and enjoying the sun after swimming down the cold river on a hot July day. I think life is a highway and I wanna ride it all night long..even though I'm not exactly sure where the road will take me-that is what makes life interesting! I hate closing doors and I always look for new ways to enjoy life even more. I consider everybody I meet my friend ... I will never have too many friends! and last of all but not least ....Follow the signs....props to you.A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented
the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took
him to catch them.
"Not very long," answered the Mexican.
"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the
American.
The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs
and those of his family.
The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with
my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a
few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs . I have a full life."
The American interrupted, "I ha ve an MBA from Harvard and I can help you!
You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra
fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
And after that?" asked the Mexican.
With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one
and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate
directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You
can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or
even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."
"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican.
"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American.
"And after that?"
"Afterwards? Well my Friend, That's when it gets really
interesting,"answered the Am erican, laughing. "When your business gets
really big, youcan start selling stocks and make millions!"
"Millions? Really? And after that?" said the Mexican.
"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the
coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta
with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."
And the moral is:
Know where you're going in life... you may already be there.
