I have a pretty eclectic taste in music but I'm definitely a hip-hop head at heart. I mean "real" hip-hop, not this 50 cent/Young Geezy/Paul Wall crap that's played on national airwaves ad nauseum. I'm talking about hip-hop from groups like Little Brother and the Justus League, J-Live, ATCQ, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Rakim, Pete Rock and the list goes on. Some of my favorite artists from other genres include Dwele, Goapele, Jill Scott, Amel Larrieux, Soulive, Mike Phillips etc.
The entire Star Wars saga, Half-Baked, The Five Heartbeats, The Usual Suspects, Coming to America, Crash, Brown Sugar, Quinten Tarantino flicks, Napolean Dynamite, Dave Chappelle's Block Party, Borat, The Departed and the list goes on and on.
