About Me

HipHop, the musical crossroads of experimentation and urban culture has survived because of its ability to reinvent itself. It's rank and file is stocked with risk-takers, artist who has taken Rap to the creative edge. Baltimores Belovit The Truth is pushing audiences over it. In his world, acid jazz and addictive HipHop beats collide to provide a firebox for his explosive lyrics.

From his first local music showcase in 1989, hes taken audiences hostage with his distinctive sound and fury. After cutting his first demo at the age of 15, Belovit hit the local music scene running and never looked back. His appearances on the airwaves of radio station 92Q caught the attention of label A&Rs, eventually landing him a tour with Island Records jazz sensation Ronnie Jordan.

Belovit grip on the HipHop world tightened as he went on to share the stage with a potent lineup of Raps elite, from The Roots to Gangstarrs Guru. Despite his success, he couldnt shake the nagging feeling that something was missing from his sound. In 1999 he embarked on a mission that would impact his career, enrolling in the Omega School of Applied Arts and Sciences. Taking up classes in recording engineering and studio techniques, Belvoid was able to create a sound that was truer to his musical influences, a diverse list that included Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Jill Scott, Glenn Lewis, Davina, and J-Dilla.

Today, armed with a solid background in recording and producing, Belovit has a new goal: to tear down Hip Hops status quo and reconstruct the urban sound through his music and his message.
