About Me

This five piece pinoy band, composed of Ice Gecolea, Mike Mora, Axel Vito Cruz, Julius Dumlao and Ryan Fortuna never thought that they would come this far. "Improbable", they say, they never knew lady luck would shine on them. All band members hail from Saint Mary’s Academy, Pasay City hence the name Maryzark. Through their Alma Mater they bonded, not just musically, but personally, as brothers."Improbable" they said. " But never impossible."The band recorded and released their debut album, "Good Mournings" under Pop-No-Comply records / Kerplunk!Studios( A new indie label) under the guidance of Patrick Jalbuena and Greg Garcia. It includes 10 original compositions, with the emotionally-driven ’Kai’ as their first single.’Good mournings’ is a powerful debut album, charged with emotion that blend melodies, punk riffs, with an unmistakable pinoy essence. The songs from the rapture of first love to the sorrow of heartache. As the melodies take control of you, leaving with no choice but to sing along with them.-K!

Sounds Like: "Credit where it's due, listeners will be able to feel the wave-like ride the songs' tension and build provide, and the effective transition to one song to the next are almost flawless, making Good Mournings a rather straight from start-to-finish listen. I urge listeners to give it an honest try, and chances are, many of you will understand why the disc is such an effective release younger fans can relate to. If all radio rock n' roll sounded like this, then I'd probably be turning the dial once more. Unfortunately, most of it doesn't.... which is where Maryzark comes in." - Joey Dizon
