Currently my main interests are starting my singer career and learning audio at the TV station. I help schedule musicians for our local Entertainment show as well. If you are a local/regional musician and would like to be on TV, email me here and let me know.Kenpo, also another interest that's had to take a back seat due to a wonky work schedule & lack of funds, is a form of self-defense martial arts and I am currently an Orange Belt with the AKKO. I look forward to getting back to class around February 2008.I've done some long distance hiking as well. In the summer of 2001, I hiked ~900 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Some of the best/worst memories of my life, with all the injuries, illnesses, issues and stuff. I haven't been in a long time, but I love to rock climb as well. No sport climbing yet, but I've top roped a few places in GA & AL.I also enjoy writing, drawing, doing charity work, and goofing off as much as possible.
This one is really hard for me to list. Mostly I'd like to meet people in the music industry. Some I've met already but would love to get the chance to perform with/for them. I'd really like to sit in with them and experience that wonderful process of creating great music. Then there are the random people such as Jimmy Carter. Go figure... There are a ton of musicians that I wish I could have gotten the chance to meet, but alas, so many are no longer with us. All the jazz and big band greats, esp. Benny Goodman.
I have a pretty strange taste in music. I do have a tendency to listen to alot of different things at random times. I've been on a Jazz kick the last year or so. Chris Botti, Ella, Miles... Anyone that's in Chris' Band or joins him on stage is awesome.Jon Christos is an absolutely amazing singer as well.I have been a musician for most of my life and it is one of my passions. As long as it's good music, I'll probably like it. I'm also listening to more Jam Bands than I used to. Don't ask me anything about them though... not that knowledgeable yet.Macon also has a TON of great local musicians & bands both past and present. Red Fish Blu Fish, The Fish Market Trio, Matt Moncrief, Scott Pallot, Brian Smith, Wes Heath, Last Year Portrait, Richard Radford, Echo 13, Accoustic Workshop, and the list goes on and on...etc... What else do you expect from the birthplace of Otis Redding, Capricorn Records, the Allman Bros. and Little Richard???
Randomness abounds in this list: Pride & Prejudice Wallace & Gromit, Strictly Ballroom, Dangerous Beauty, LOTR Trilogy, Star Wars (all episodes), any Martial Arts movie, Garden State, X-men (all 3), Love Actually, Quills, Bend It Like Beckham, Tomb Raider (I & II), Indiana Jones series, National Treasure, POTC series, Chicago and the list goes on and on and is in constant rotation...CURRENT MOON lunar phase
The West Wing on DVD, The Deadliest Catch, The History Channel, The Food Network, Bravo! I work in television so I get to watch it all the time.
Too many to name here...
My mom and dad... tons of great musicians...Sir Edmund Hillary, SGM Ed Parker, um... yeah that's it for the moment.
