Oh, the city rain It floods the city streets And in my city bed Out of my fuckin' head.Is it snowing

About Me

it's a common misconception that i'm nice when in actuality i just smile a lot. really i'm the type of person finds a way to make fun of everything and ransacks the cereal box taking all the good stuff out before anyone else gets to it ( raisens, marshmellows, fruit). take a while to respond, don't generally call people back because i suppose i like drifting in my own little world of daydreams without interuption. see, somegirls like shoe store, sale racks, expensive soho boutiques, as for me...well my weakness is a nice grocery store. they're like christmas ( if i weren't jewish). not a big eater but in passionate love affairs with cooking which is why i mostly only befriend people who are the type to comeback for 2nds and 3rds. through all NYC's trials and tribulations, i still couldn't begin to imagine life anywhere else. or that there is life outside of nyc and it's boroughs( sorry guys back home, that little sandy beach hut hurricane trap is kinda surreal after being gone so long). here, it's this relaxing flow of anonimity that just takes you with the current. can't seem to help myself from insesantly creating my own metaphores infinite times per conversation ( which i am intentionaly restraing myself from in this tid bit). tend to see the whole world in a saterday morning cartoon form which is both amusing and scary. may come off as meek or quiet but i'm just more into listening and learning ( null and void when it comes to football though, i'm too stubborn to learn and / or every football fan is too bias on thier personal beliefs to teach without contaminating the info (= ... and i don't mind trash talking and trash talking loudly ).i find myself longing to live in a society that still dresses to the nines to see a show, carry small boxy luggage while wearing a skirt and dainty gloves, has to take a moment to adjust the needle on the grammophone, where documents are written personally with quill and ink well, horses and buggies aren't accompanied by " oooos" and "aaas", ladies were ladies and wore ribbons in thier hair, fiddles weren't just a deep south thing, and a kitchenette apt infested with mice in a 5th floor walk up with 150 sq ft living space with a tiny dingy rusting fire escape advartised as "GREAT out door space" in manhattan under $2000.00 a month is NOT considered an amazing deal.i hate the fact that within writing this, i've had to use " I " so many times. and a wee bit more : i am - enamored with children's books, own over 50 cookbooks, adore camping more than anything, prefer deserted watered down pubs over trendy hot spots with pink and lime green cocktails, am coming to terms that i will forever be damned with insomnia, hate when people agree with me, don't understand how there are people out there with no strive in life to be written down in history, am SUUUUPER shy with crushes, love the asbestos smell of old books, can't seem to end my fascination with abe lincoln or sepia photos, can never have enough pillows, have an afinity for walking around the city alone at 5 am in winter smelling freshly baking goods in the air and watching venders rolling thier barely awoken carts down to thier corner. i don't know why it fills me with such content seeing shop owners arrive at thier store front and pull up the cages infront of the door. garnishes are the best part of meals, find something symbolic in walking in the rain like the sign is shining off my cheeks ( i'm COMPLETLEY against the use or ownership of an umbrella), hold the utmost respect for loners like myself, have a small weakness for guys with sideburns or stubble, feel a kin to the quirky, love "rustic" furniture / old english country decor, pens that write smoothly, chart pack markers, old children's book poetry, national geographic mags, archaeology, falling asleep to black & white movies, those accents in old movies, the way they light cigs. and the desparate way they kiss, puppies, daisies, sunflowers, museum cafeterias, dvd sale racks, $2 lp bins in the east village, 24 hr diners, foffy places, misty mornings, snow in general and snow inder a street light, foliage, smell of a bon fire, corn on the cob, the state fair, boardwalks, cotton candy, vodka 7ups in a place with a sketchy unmarked door/ unsanitary toilet with long lines and a band that only seems to get better by ever sip, and 7-11 nachoes. i like to start my mornings with some jackie wilson, jackson browne, (young) soloman burke, sherry ellis, neko case, tift merrit, sam cooke and leo sayer. i end my night with ryan adams, van morrison, jeff buckley, faron young, gram parsons, hootie and the blow fish, and tom petty. that's me (=

My Interests

i eat fruit roll ups like potato chips. not by choice but by reason if i were an animal i'd be an owl. if i were a movie character i'd be amelie. a candy, i'd be a gummy bear.....why .....well because i just would. i could never live any where not on the water and i cook most likely better then your momma. that's why i'm momma J . if you're sick i make you chicken noodle soup from scratch, if your happy i make you cookies.i've got a thing for 1960's alka seltzer commercials (if you know why, i might just have to mary you). i draw pictures like you've never seen and always have my ipod on. i've fallen completly in love with my labradoodle though i like to douse my wood floors with mop 'n glo so she does that whole bambi on ice thing. disney movies & comic strips are great, and i always root for death in chic flicks. it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy inside....

I'd like to meet:

" I want somebody who sees the pointlessness and still keeps their purpose in mind I want somebody who has a tortured soul some of the time I want somebody who will either put out for me or put me out of misery or maybe just put it all to words and make me say, you know I never heard it put that way make me say, what did you just say? I want somebody who can hold my interest hold it and never let it fall someone who can flatten me with a kiss that hits like a fist or a sentence, that stops me like a brick wall because if you hear me talking listen to what I'm not saying"a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank" AND MOST OF ALLLLLLL DAVEY HOVAK
