About Me

i am always at school. i'm a fine arts major and i pretty much live in the school basement (which i lovingly refer to as the dungeon....) for the majority of the academic year. they don't like us art people very much and i surmise that if some unfortunate accident involving chemical spills or acid should befall us, that they wouldn't really notice we were missing and would then just fill in the basement with cement, essentially burying any evidence of their negligence. (but that's neither here or there. yet if i disappear, i did forwarn you.) i don't own a computer. i suck internet time from others. or i give up and use the computer lab. my presence online may fluctuate quite a bit due to this fact, so bear with me. when i'm not here i'm generally out and about causing mischief and mayhem with my partners in crime. or i'm in class. or dancing around the printshop or photo lab after hours. oh did i say dancing? i meant working. working in the printshop or photo lab after hours. no dancing. don't judge me! and no that loud music had nothing to do with me.... nor did that spray glue on the floor over by the ventilation hood.... i have absolutely nothing to do with the underground phenomenon now known as naschair, and i certainly have no idea how those drawings, stickers and fortune cookie wrappers wound up adhered to the walls. you'll never get me to confess, coppers.

My Interests

random information and things most people would consider of little interest. oh and i guess i like music. and art. yeah, art is only what i go to school for.... come to think of it, i should probably be taking photos right about now. or printing something down in the printshop. or maybe just building a fort. forts are cool.

I'd like to meet:

cool people.

[those that only want to ask if i like spanking need not apply. please stop thinking with your crotch and go find yourself a life. get a job, save a kitten, find a girlfriend, seek therapy. whatever you need to do in order to not harass me. i hate to break it to you, but i fear you may have been sitting in front of your computer for far too long.]

Music:

[some stuff i like. yes it's a long list. and no, it's not in any particular order.] Evergreen Terrace, mewithoutYou, Lovedrug, Still Remains, The Deal, Xlooking forwardX, Figure Four, Every Time I Die, The Postal Service, Depeche Mode, Unearth, Thursday, Weezer, Point of Recognition, Frank Sinatra, The Clash, Comeback Kid, Between the Buried and Me, Fugazi, The Appleseed Cast, Flatfoot 56, As I Lay Dying, Radiohead, Hit the Deck, The Pixies, Tommy Guerrero, Hanover Saints, With Honor, Cool Hand Luke, Beloved, Anathallo, Unwed Sailor, Minus The Bear, No Innocent Victim, Darkane, Stretch Arm Strong, Stephen Malkmus, Pavement, The Jicks, Ray Barbee, Anah Aevia, Nodes of Ranvier, Narcissus, Ben Folds, The Last Broadcast, Pedro the Lion, Underoath, Death Cab for Cutie, Showbread, The Cure, Extol, Sigur Ros, Grandaddy

Movies:

Lock Stock and two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Office Space, Secretary, High Fidelity, Amelie, Elizabethtown, Fight Club, Love Actually, Almost Famous, Dirty Pretty Things, American History X, any and all Monty Python films, 28 Days Later, and pretty much anything to do with Tarantino

Television:

Cowboy Bebop, Sealab, Deadliest Catch, Miami Ink, That 70's Show, Trigger Happy T.V., Family Guy, The Simpsons, Law and Order Criminal Intent (I can't watch the others since Jerry Orbach died... sad...) CSI, and random programming on PBS. I love my PBS.

Books:

i need to read more. i keep saying this but it seems as if i never have time to do anything about it. there's always something more pressing than sitting down and reading a book. the only time i have when i find myself sitting bored happens to be those hours where i'm driving. or sitting in a lecture that i'm just too a.d.d. to pay attention to. and that is partially because the art history desks have wheels. whose dumb idea was that, to give art students wheels? i can't pay attention to normal human speech when i have wheels, let alone be able to focus enough to read a book. and well, i don't think i should be reading while driving either. when i'm not moving the books you're most likely to find me with are my bible and a now well-read copy of david crowder's book "praise habit." i like his new one too "everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die" co-authored with mike hogan. good stuff. david crowder writes very much like i do and i find a good deal of joy in his sense of humour. read his stuff if you haven't. other things i enjoy reading: books on photography and art history, my now-missing maus novels (my mother stole them), and i also collect vintage nancy drew mysteries.

Heroes:

Jesus.
