developing new media projects ( a lot of focus on how technology changes the underlying business of media and also how lowering the cost barriers to entry can effect the democratization of media and therefore society), cooking (but hate baking), wine tastings, theater, travel, reading, my kids. My skill (or so I have been told) is understanding the influences of pop culture on the media business (before others do) and creating companies or projects that feed peoples appetite for pop culture related fare. I find myself interested in everything that people do and how they consume media. E! was easy as the need for it was so apparent (to me anyway), but when I wrote the plan for The Hobby and Craft network I read everything available and even learned how to cross stitch. I find myself relating to people who are in the their 30s (men and women) as the way I live and my interests seem to match more often than not. Interest in politics, medicine, the world, etc and liking the same music, boooks, movies etc provides the things to talk about instead of staring at the ceiling talking about the weather.
