In the spring of 2006, Elias Hellström and Edvin Aronson came up with the idea to start a serious punkrock-band.
They knew each other since way back, and they had even played in the same band (Never Unplugged) before they started this whole thing up.
The plan was to focus on the songs, on the performance and on the image alone as much as possible.
Time went by, and later on when they had recorded the 2007 demo, they wanted to bring in a bassplayer and a second guitarplayer to make a complete band.
The guys went to the same school as Chrisofer Carlsson, who had just left his previous band "Primaterna".
All three of them loved punkrock, so one day, Edvin Aronson asked if Christofer was interested in joining him and Elias.
He was more than happy to join, and after a couple of minutes in the rehearsing-room, he was a member of the band.
Simon Höckert (bassplayer), had played with some of the local bands in Kungsbacka before he had heard of this band.
Elias and Edvin knew him a little bit because of that.
They tried Simon out in the same way that they did with Christofer, and there was no hesitation here either; He was in the band.
It took a while to come up with a good name for the band, though.
The first alterntives were names like "Bloody Mary", "A Mayday Invention", "Sunsets Secret", "Bittersweet" and many more names.
Some members thought some of the names were actually good, but everyone did not agree.
Everyone had to really like the name of this band. If someone did not, it wasn't going to work.
After a few weeks of hard thinking, Edvin Aronson suggested "Pigtail Remedy", for no perticular reason.
It just sounded good, and it sounded like the ultimate punkrock-band.
The rest of the band did not want to be connected to pigs, and they all thought that the band would turn out as a joke with that kind of name.
They spoke it through and lucky enough, they all liked the last word of the suggested name. So they picked it out, and the thing was done:
Remedy was formed
