About Me

My headline leads most of you to ask - does that mean you'll finally finish another book soon?

Sadly, the answer to this is probably not. I've been working, off and on, on Mantidote - the insanely bitter comedic look at my life pre-Nick. Let's just say that my dating life was not exactly what I'd call a good time. But at least it was funny.
I'd say it's about half finished.
This has meant that Window Walkers, though mostly finished, has no new ending. And, since my editor moved to Turkey, I haven't exactly been motivated to find someone new to work through it with me.
Hey, does anyone know of a good editor? Now Released! Check it out! I am a contributor!

My Interests

Reading - everything from food labels to doorstop sized tomes - writing, learning new things, sleeping, cooking and baking, movies, home improvement projects, travel, and lots of other things. I was once thrown out of an airplane, but I think I'll avoid that in the future...

I'd like to meet:

Someone who can explain the universe.
Old friends - I've been lucky enough to find some of you again since I moved back to Ohio. I'm always interested in hearing what people are up to. And there are a lot of you out there who I've just lost touch with. I don't mean to do it - it just kind of happens.
New friends - People who like to hang out and have a good time without having another agenda.

Music:

My tastes are so eclectic that I'm not really sure what they are. I sing everything from 70s rock to Blues to Country. I usually sing in the car or the shower, but sometimes can be enticed to do karaoke as well.

Movies:

My all time favorite movie is The Breakfast Club. Pretty much any John Hughes film or SciFi flick will do though.

Television:

LOST, Desperate Housewives, Friends, Charmed, Quantum LeapI used to be able to say that I didn't watch TV. Since I moved back to Ohio, I'm a junkie.

Books:

Anything by Mercedes Lackey, Jane Green, Janet Evanovich, Diana Gabaldon or Jennifer Crusie.
Harry Potter - every book except Order of the Phoenix
and my own book, Alison's Journey, of course. After all, I have to be biased towards my own work, don't I?

Heroes:

My dad. He leads a simple life, and I appreciate that. Besides, he's my biggest fan.

Our Heroines Arrive

I arrived in Martinsburg, WV on Wednesday night, my trusty sidekick, Trish, riding beside me through the frigid East Coast autumn night. One hundred and thirty books were our cargo, and we were hopefu...

Irritations and Addictions

OK, so now I'm not only wide awake at 4 am, but I've also lost the blog that I just spent the last 20 minutes writing. Suddenly, as I was typing a word, the entire screen gave me an error. And now, I'...

Addictions

So, it's 4 am. I awoke at this ungodly hour, knowing that the phone is going to ring at 6 to wake me, and I seem to have a story to tell. A story without an ending. Heck, it's a story without a middle...

Wild Wonderful West Virginia

After work yesterday, Trish and I started on our uneventful trip to WV. It was dark, so we didn't see much more than the inside of the Chinese Buffet Restaurant where we stopped for dinner and the roa...

I'm old enough to be your mother!!!

What's with all the boys lately who are hitting on me? And by boys, I honestly mean boys. These children are barely old enough to drive, and weren't even alive when I started high school! So, yes, I c...

Terri's Blog

Ok, so I read Terri's blog and found that I had a lot of things to say about it. 1. I can barely remember your name after three dates. That certainly does not equal "I love you." 2. If I am out with y...
