Hello Everyone, I was born and educated in Mobile, Alabama attending Crichton Elem. then Forest Hills Elem. and then on to Semmes High school. I went to college at Piedmont Community College in Morganton, NC. I left Mobile and lived in Pensacola FL, Charleston SC, Lenoir NC, Burke County (Connelly Springs area)NC, Melbourne FL, Waveland MS, and now am once again residing in Melbourne Florida.
I am a sixty six year old grandmother, who has lived through many trials in my life, the last was Katrina, and I lived in Waveland Mississippi at the time of the storm coming ashore. She left me nothing when she departed.
There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, mine was a book. Right before the storm, I submitted a novel to PublishAmerica.
After the storm, needless to say, I had lost all the hours of research and data I had put in it. So when I learned the book was to be published.
I was delighted, something had survived the storm.Something I could hold in my hands and know it was mine. God has continued to bless me after the storm. I found myself a church, St. Marks Methodist, in Indialantic, Fl. The people there welcomed me with arms wide open. After nine moths (the same time it takes to bring a new life into this world)
/>
I got part of my insurance money. It was enough to buy me another small house, here in Melbourne, Florida. Yes, it is furnished with used furniture, but is mine. And I am so grateful!
I hope you will consider purchasing my book, Please read on to find out how. I am available for talks and book signings, at schools, churches, and re-enactments..
Press release: Frederick, MD July 18, 2006 -- PublishAmerica is proud to present Can You Hear Me?: Miss Sarah's Civil War Journals by Melbourne, Florida.
Gloria Kenmare Grant's book: Can You Hear Me? Is the story of Sarah, who has dedicated most her life to helping others.
Gloria Kenmare Grant has always enjoyed writing, and became interested in the Civil War after researching her father's family back to 1777. Nothing she found told about the trials the children of that era faced.
She has also always been intrigued by people in comatose stages of life can they hear, see, smell and think? After much research, Gloria Kenmare Grant found that she could combine the two ideas into the story Can You Hear Me? Order on line at Publishamerica.com or Amazon.com. OR Ask Book store to Order.
