EVERYBODY KNOWS I'M RIGHT BUT NOBODY AGREES

About Me

Jeroen Van Overbeke started out as a lead singer in the obscure trash band ‘Alice D. and the Noise Boys’ at the age of seventeen. Soon, he mastered the bass guitar as well and ‘Trunkboy’ was born. “Growing up in public with your pants down” you could call it, for about nine years long.During the latter half of that period, he also teamed up with his brother to form ‘Basics’, which was originally an experimental rock band consisting of two bass players, a cellist and a drummer.‘Pale’, the next step, featured Jeroen in a more melodic phase and proved to be the prelude to ‘Sloppy Joe’, a two-man band which allowed Jeroen to learn how to play the guitar and get to the core of song-writing.In the meantime, he persuaded some old musical friends to pick up where they had left off and they gave birth to ‘Kentucky Dare Devils’, a band that is still kicking the shit out of rock & roll.In 2005, ‘I am a Horse’ rose like a phoenix from the ashes of ‘Sloppy Joe’. Lieven Joos, who had been perfecting his guitar style for years in various local bands, and Jeroen combined forces in order to finally reach their ultimate goal: a full length cd in which they could pour their heart and soul. Dirk Pattyn (drummer) was one of the guests on the album ‘Everybody knows I’m right but nobody agrees’ and they invited him to join them for their forthcoming adventures on the road.
