I got my first guitar in April 2006. My addictive personality proved to be useful for something!! My love for ALL types of music combined with my passion for writing has come together in the last few years. Teaching myself to play the acoustic guitar has been a welcome challenge and I have been fortunate to meet some VERY talented people along the way who have inspired me and showed me a trick or two :)
This year I thought I would dive in and try my hands at recording some of the material I've written, so I went into my roomie's mini studio and did just that. I had fun layering harmonies and guitars, as well as some percussion. Not knowing what the hell I was doing I managed to create something pretty cool. Yes, the levels may be off and it definitely needs some tweaking and mixing, not to mention I should probably use a metronome in the future. I tend to speed up while I'm rockin' out...but it's a start!
