Born in a one room house on the Big Island of Hawaii. Didn’t leave the state until I was fifteen. Grew up without electricity (had kerosene lamps for light), no T.V. (still don’t own one) or a telephone and I wouldn’t trade a second of it either. It’s a perspective you can’t explain to someone. Worked construction from the age 6 to 16 for my father and can fix just about damn near anything with my hands. Don’t me started on the new age man who doesn’t know what f*$king side of a hammer to use, go play in traffic. Was home schooled until college in which I graduated with honors. Fell in love with cooking and became a chef. Food has taken me across the pacific on a rescue and salvage ship, through 28 states, national competitions, private estates for the eccentrically wealthy. Always up for an adventure…….Have paddled a canoe between islands through 42 miles of open ocean in one of the roughest channels in the world, swam in the deepest spot in wide world’s ocean over the Marianas Trench, been through the world’s longest lava tube, played with molten rock in an active volcano, free climbed 200ft sea cliffs in Australia, flew 12,000 miles for love……
Building a software program to revolutionize the way a restaurant is run, can’t seem to slow my mind down. Have thoughts and philosophies that confound people. I’m quiet, I’m loud, a hopeless romantic, very passionate, a big kid, an old man, blunt, sweet, rough, unpolished but rarely dull………….
