About Me

I'm going to keep some lists here in my profile from now on. Feel free to suggest an addition to the lists. I'm only adding the really really good ones so the lists will take a while to fill.
List 1
10 WEIRDEST THINGS I HAVE SEEN IN NEW YORK CITY:

1. A man catching at least 15 pigeons in a HUGE net then RUNNING to his Dodge Durango, tossing the net of squawking birds in the back seat and speeding away. (35th & Park)
2. A stationary excerise bike from approximately 1979 bike-locked to a post on the side of the sidewalk.
3. I'm riding the 7 train in Queens. Quietly sitting and working on my knitting. All of a sudden the Chinese lady next to me throws down her newspaper in a huff, SNATCHES my knitting from my hands and proceeds to knit FOR ME!! She is furiously knitting like the wind all the while telling me (in Chinese no less) how I am doing it all wrong and the proper techniques I should be applying to my knitting work. She knits for so long I begin to wonder if she is going to keep my shit so I had to take it back out of her hands and explain futilely that I am doing just fine without her masterful teachings. I got off at the next stop.
4. 100+ WASTED people dressed like Santa, Frosty and various other holiday figures partying their ass off ON THE SUBWAY! (photo blog cause you gotta see this!)
List 2
10 THINGS I HATE:

1. People who do things on the subway that I would classify as "bathroom behavior" (i.e. combing ones hair, clipping nails, tweezing anything, not to mention pissing!)
List 3
10 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT LIVING IN NYC:

1.New York City Marathon (no idea why I like to go each year to cheer on complete strangers)
2. Even if you are a lesbian methodist bongo player who likes to smoke a pipe you can probably find a bar with a "Lesbian Methodist Smoke Lounge Drum Circle Night".
3. On a typical walk from the 6 train down to the depths of the 7 train I hear a really good trombone player, the worst violin player I've ever heard and what looks like an orphan from Estonia playing an accordian.
4. Upon entering "Sunnyside Fresh Taco" I notice something strange. The man about to take my order is Chinese. The restaurant is set up exactly like a Chinese take out place but instead of rice and dumplings, the menu has tacos and burritos. I couldn't stop laughing when ordered my taco and he yelled my order to the cook in Chinese!
