About Me

I am often asked to explain the meaning of my photos. If you were pondering that question, here is my answer.
Each of my photographs is a carefully constructed yet deliberately ambiguous scene with multiple meanings. Tending towards the surreal and slightly morbid, each piece is infused with specific visual, symbolic, and personal intent.
Visual: it must be graphically engaging in an unconventional manner
Symbolic: the elements are selected and arranged for deliberate reasons
Personal: each construct is conceived from a personal experience
I feel the titles of my photographs already add significant direction as to my suggested intent, and that further elaboration would erode the balance of narrative and abstraction I have tried to achieve.
Ultimately, I prefer that my pieces speak for themselves, and that the viewer adds his or her own individual perspective to complete an interpretation of my work.
It's probably not the answer you were looking for. Load me up with a few drinks at a show and I'll probably reveal more. For now, just visit my website and see the photos for yourself:
