Patrick

I'm way past stabby; my mood is currently Teeth-Kicky.

About Me

I do this like Brutus. If I was in a band, it would be called, "For Good of For Awesome." I'm crescent fresh. I know most of the words to a musical called 'Porcupine Racetrack', every Tenacious D song, and a few seasons of Buffy. Movie geek, Food Geek, Bike Geek, Kung fu Geek. Map Geek. Crime Geek. (or is it "Crime God"? You decide, but only after reading crimegod.vox.com)

My Interests

Waging peace. Giving back Crawford, Texas's village idiot and his thieving crony pals. Having people bow down to my culinary skillz. Finding start up money for an emergency baking service called, "Cake, NOW!" Kung Fu (7-star Praying Mantis and Ba Gua Zhang). Biking (If you frequent the Art Museum to Valley Forge paths, I'm the fat guy on a grey Tirreno with aero bars). Fine Liquors unsullied by mixers, water, or ice. Frisbee Golf (it's pretty fun once you get past the hippies, patchouli, and WASP-afarians).

I'd like to meet:

Dong Hai Chuan. Your mom. Madeline Albright. Anyone who can bring down President Ass-Clown and his army of Zealot-Neo-con-fuckwits. People who have their shit together. Friendly drunks (I know enough mean ones, thanks). Joss Whedon. Anyone on Team CSC, including but not limited to Bjarne Riis, Jens Voight, and Bobby Julich. Levi Leipheimer. Floyd Landis (regardless of whether he doped; fucker's still an ass-kicking amish son of a bitch, and deserves respect). Chris Carmichael. Jacques Pepin.

Music:

Interpol. Perfect Circle. Fishbone. Aphex Twin. Tori. Whiny, pretentious crup. Music from places without sunshine (England, Detroit, etc.). Shellac. Peaches. Sixteen Horsepower. Southern Culture on the Skids. Reverend Horton Heat. Mates of State. Modest Mouse. The Rapture. DJ Shadow. The Roots. Pharcyde. Bitch and Animal. 2MEX. Omni. Common. Mos Def. De La Soul. Telepopmusik. Imogen Heap. Frou Frou. The Postal Service. Iron and Wine. Kings of Convenience. X. Brassy. Boss Hog. Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Tom Waits, Tom Waits, and...oh yeah, Tom Waits.

Movies:

The amature porn I made with your mom. Jeunet + Caro, Jim Jarmusch, Michael Mann, Luc Besson, etc.. Movies that feature women with guns. Me likey DVD commentaries, especially for crap films.

Television:

A lot of my TV watching is from taped or disc collections. Rock on Buffy, Firefly, Mr. Show, The Tick, The State, The Young Ones. I wonder if they'll ever release a collection of Exit 57 episodes? Currently into Heroes (like a sucker), The Office, 30 Rock, and Rome.

Books:

Often and in great quantities. Things are getting to the point where I should institute some sort of card catalog system. I do, at least, hide all of my boring Criminology, Geography, and Statistics books in my office so as to not frighten company.

Heroes:

Dong Hai Chuan. Your mom. Madeline Albright. The Bush girls' drug dealer. Danger Evader. The South Goose Beach Taoist (this has nothing to do with the South Beach Diet). Lao Tzu + Chuang Tzu.

Hm. Ow. Hm.

I want to be a triathelete. Stop laughing. I want to do this for several reasons, but mostly it boils down to the notion that a body in triathalon-shape is pretty much the exact physical opposite of...
