Conipcious – CON-IP-SHOS
Derives from the word Conniption, meaning a fit of violent emotion, such as anger or panic. If you were in this state constantly you would therefore be Conipcious.
Conipcious are a London based Progressive Metal band, mixing all forms of heavy music. Our influences are huge and naming them wont give you any real insight into how we sound so we encourage that you listen to a couple of our songs through to get an idea of what were about.
We always look to push ourselves in every aspect creating a sound that is both vast musically and lyrically but always positive in its approach. Exploring subjects like love, terrorism and the human mind we look to create music that affects the body in everyway, physically and mentally whilst never becoming pretentious.
Conipcious are currently booking for shows across the uk to expand our healthy London Fan-base. We are also looking for distribution of their new E.P. to be released later this year. Please get in touch for more info, send any questions to

After what has to be the shortest Hiatus of all time were fucking back! Having our song played on total rock the other week made us realise that there was still life in conipcious yet. Despite wanting to continue, there simply wasnt anyone we wanted to fill in for Henry on keyboard until the obvious dawned upon us and a simple shift of band positions has been made. Joe has now taken up the keys and we would like to now officially welcome Sam Ricketts to the Conipcious familia. Many of you will remember Sam from our good friends Surburus, having known each other for quite some time Sam is the obvious choice to play for us and we would like you to all welcome him with open arms to Conipcious.
At the moment we are concerntrating on getting sam up to scratch with the old material. We will be gigging ASAP and the long awaited record will be happening this side of Xmas. We are really excited about getting this new line up out there and we hope it will give us the breath of new life we needed. Keep checkin the site cos this is about to get Serious!

Its been a really quiet month for us, after a summer trying to spread the conipcious word we were looking to release our first real attempt at an E.P. in the coming weeks but before we could even get started the realisation that a member of the band was moving on to go to university meant that we had to rethink the way band worked. Simply bringing in a replacment or changing direction did not seem feasable or something which the band as a whole did not want to do. And so the band are going on an indefinite hiatus.
This isnt the be all and end all for the band, the majority of the band are looking to carry on possibly under a different moniker and with a distinctly different sound. We will also hopefully be doing a stretch of conipcious shows over the christmas period, and i may even put some old recordings up on the site from when we first started over the coming weeks. But for now the band would like to thank everyone whos ever supported us at anytime in the bands history and like i said this isnt the end its just a break. keep checking the site for updates.

Firstly there has been a bit of an issue about what time we are playing, originally it had been advertised as 11pm. Can i please let everyone know that it should be earlier than that!!! the exact time will be decided wen we arrive at the venue however we will be on anytime after 9 pm so get down there for then! the doors also open at 8pm aswell.
Secondly the show is not £3 its £4, really sorry about this but it was changed at the last minute.
As i just said were really sorry about these changes but there has been a lack of communication and things have been swapped around quite a bit with bands dropping out etc. please dont let this deter you from coming though as your support is always appreciated and we will make sure we put on a good show (and may even play some golden oldies if you desperatley want!)

Its been a few days since the show and im just starting to recover! So thanks to Kenny, Zach, Rob, Porter and people from Broomfield, Jo & co and anyone else we missed! Although we played really well overall the majority of the audience hadnt arrived when we were playing and also most people didnt have a clue who the fuck we were so we hardly set the place alight. but the people that came for us made the most of it and we all had a good time meeting some new people. We also want to thank the other bands for putting on some great sets, Carnivale, Last Witness, Break The Sky and of course Awoken. More news soon
